As Manager Strategy & Transformation – Lending, you combine strategy, process optimisation, digital transformation and leadership to help financial institutions move faster, smarter and more customer-centric. You’ll work in BDO’s warm, hands‑on and pragmatic environment where expertise meets real impact.


How you make it count


You help banks and financial institutions rethink and redesign their lending activities – from strategy to execution. You translate ambition into concrete change and guide clients through complex transformations.


In practice, this means:

  • Defining lending strategies and roadmaps aligned with business goals, regulation and market evolution.
  • Analysing and optimising end‑to‑end lending processes (B2C & B2B) with a strong focus on efficiency and customer experience.
  • Shaping and driving transformation initiatives, including digitalisation, automation and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Translating business needs into functional and system requirements, in close collaboration with IT and stakeholders.
  • Leading projects and teams, coaching junior consultants and acting as a trusted advisor for clients.
  • Contributing to the growth of BDO’s lending & financial services offering, including proposal work and client development.


You divide your time between client workshops, project delivery, mentoring colleagues and helping to set the strategic direction of our lending practice.


What do you bring to the table?


You don’t have to tick every box, but this role fits you well if:

  • You have 5–8 years of relevant experience in banking, consulting or financial services.
  • You bring strong knowledge of lending (retail and/or corporate).
  • You have experience with strategy, transformation or process improvement projects.
  • You’re comfortable working at the intersection of business, data and technology.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently with clients and teams.
  • You speak Dutch or French fluently, have a very good command of the other, and are fluent in English.
