Turnover Engineer

We are currently looking for a Turnover Engineer to join industrial construction projects. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the completion and handover processes of the plant, ensuring accurate documentation, systematic inspections, and smooth turnover to the Owner in line with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and populate the Completion and Turnover database.
• Ensure inspection test packs and quality records are collected, indexed, and available to support phased acceptance and handover.
• Accountable for delivering the completions process in a safe and structured manner according to project schedule and procedures.
• Identify deficiencies in documentation practices and coordinate resolution while keeping the QC Manager and Turnover Coordinator informed.
• Maintain punctual and accurate updates in the Completion and Turnover database.
• Track punch list items and follow up on resolutions.
• Receive, review, and clarify engineering input data, generating discrepancy reports as needed.
• Provide system and database analysis, technical support, and guidance to all users.
• Ensure overall system integrity, including smooth merging and integration of data from package vendors or discipline updates.
• Import and export data for discrepancy/non-compliance evaluation and follow-up.
• Upload and validate QC formats and punched items in the Completion & Turnover Management System once compilation is completed and signed.
• Monitor Quality Pack Completion to support timely system handover and highlight critical issues to meet project milestones.
• Issue weekly status reports for planning systems and project management updates.
• Use established tracking and distribution systems to control mechanical completion, certification, and punch listing activities.
• Assist in planning activities for mechanical completion and commissioning.
• Actively participate in completion and handover activities to support project objectives and schedule.

Your Profile

• Strong experience with completion and turnover management processes in industrial construction.
• Solid IT skills to support data manipulation and import processes, including Excel (formulas, pivot tables, filtering, sorting).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience implementing databases for construction projects (GoCompletions® or equivalent).
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in integrated project teams.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under tight schedules.
• Eligible to work in Belgium.
