Freelance SAP FI-CA Expert (Part-time)

The role

We are looking for an Expert SAP FI-CA Consultant to join a dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP FI-CA implementation, support, and optimization within S/4HANA environments, and will play a key role in improving business processes.

The objective of this mission is to ensure the implementation, support, and optimization of financial processes within the SAP FI-CA module. The role aims to enhance process reliability, standardize practices, and support the organization’s digital transformation towards S/4HANA.

The scope includes the analysis of business requirements, configuration and customization of SAP FI-CA, operational support, implementation of enhancements, as well as training and knowledge transfer to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

• Work closely with the workstream/domain lead, project team, and internal SAP teams to understand business requirements.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and propose appropriate SAP solutions.
• Under the lead architect’s guidance, contribute to solution architecture and provide key inputs for the design and implementation of processes (both in projects and maintenance).

Configuration & Customization

• Configure and customize the SAP FI-CA module in alignment with business needs.
• Maintain and update functional and technical documentation.

Support & Maintenance

• Provide post-implementation support and ensure smooth operation of the SAP FI-CA environment.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize existing processes.

Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Train end users and internal teams on new processes and SAP functionalities.
• Document and share best practices and lessons learned.

Requirements

Education

• University degree in Engineering, IT, Industrial Computing, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP FI-CA
• Minimum 10 years overall experience as an SAP Consultant
• Proven track record of at least one full-cycle SAP implementation

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in SAP FI-CA, including:
• Contract accounts receivable and payable
• Payment processing
• Reconciliation control
• Dunning processes
• Payment plans
• Good overall knowledge of SAP FI and CO
• Experience with S/4HANA

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong teaching and knowledge-sharing abilities
• Autonomous, proactive, and detail-oriented

Languages

• French: Fluent (equivalent to native level, written and spoken)
• English: Mandatory
