Field Service Engineer BeLux

Reports to: Aftersales Technical Manager Benelux

Main Purpose / Focus of the Role:

The Field Service Engineer BeLux will be responsible for online and on-site technical support to the Geely Netherlands Aftersales Network in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Working with both plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) and battery electric vehicles (BEV), responsibilities include mechanical and electrical diagnostic support to authorized technicians, completing root cause analysis and reporting on difficult cases and emerging trends, supporting urgent and critical cases, and handling escalations from customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to the Geely Aftersales Network.
• Provide technical assistance in case of critical diagnosis in the field and report these cases to the Regional Service Center.
• Share diagnosis information and give feedback to the Quality department to improve the product.
• Support the technical field service organization, as well as the technical support departments, in the elimination of complex product defects on vehicles, units and components.
• Support the Customer Care team in the resolution of customer issues within the network.
• Provide periodic reporting and analyze statistical data on technical issues coming from the network.
• Analyze and evaluate incoming complaints.
• Make independent decisions about necessary measures to address complaints.
• Implement technical solutions in workshop-oriented instructions.

Experience & Competencies:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent specializing in vehicle technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering with a focus on drives technology or master craftsman/workshop manager/master technician.
• Automotive background in a similar job for an OEM.
• Technical ICE & EV know-how.
• Qualified technician for HV system in motor vehicles valid for Belgium.
• Extensive knowledge of total vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical and diagnostics.
• Excellent knowledge of diagnosis tools.
• 100% willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
• Must be fluent speaking French, Dutch & English at a technical level. Additional knowledge of European languages will be considered as a plus.
• Extremely organized, ability to work with parallel workstreams, and manage pressure.
• Ability to work with different departments and characters, outstanding communication skills. Result driven.
• Experience working in an automotive aftersales workshop environment.
• Confident in working with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Class B driving license.
• Must be prepared to travel frequently at short notice, making own arrangements within financial policy limits.
