What you will do:

This position can be based in Belgium, the Netherlands, or Germany.

As Strategic Account Manager Life Sciences Europe, you will support the continued development of our Life Sciences activities across Europe by strengthening relationships with strategic customers and commercial partners, supporting regional sales teams, and coordinating commercial initiatives across multiple European markets. In addition to the strategic coordination aspects of the role, the Strategic Account Manager Europe will carry direct commercial responsibility for selected strategic accounts, distribution partners, and regional initiatives, with clear objectives linked to sales growth, revenue generation, and portfolio development across Europe.


Reporting to the Head of Sales Europe, you will collaborate closely with local sales teams, marketing, customer service, product management, and operations to support customer growth, improve commercial alignment, and enhance customer experience across the region.


This role combines strategic customer management, partner coordination, and commercial support activities within an international environment.



Your main responsibilities:

  • Build and develop relationships with key Life Sciences customers across Europe.
  • Partner with local sales teams on customer strategies, commercial opportunities, and account development plans.
  • Take part in customer meetings and contribute to complex commercial discussions where needed.
  • Drive commercial alignment between European entities and regional sales teams.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with selected distributors and commercial partners.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, customer service, QA, operations, and product management.
  • Leverage CRM and reporting tools such as HubSpot and Qlik to track activities and support commercial follow-up.
  • Represent the company at selected industry events and during customer visits across Europe.



Your skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in microbiology is a plus.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic account management, channel management, sales coordination, or commercial support within Life Sciences or laboratory environments.
  • Strong communication skills in English (business proficiency) and Dutch (native proficiency); additional European languages, particularly German are a strong asset given the role's geographic scope.
  • A commercial mindset combined with solid organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot and reporting tools such as Qlik is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe.
