Rates are negotiable to experience (Euro/day) Initial onboarding in BELUX *Urgent 6-12Month long-term Contract - Role hiring now!* We're looking for an experienced Level 2 Firewall Engineer to join a high-performing infrastructure & security team focused on enterprise Firewall stability, automation, and continuous improvement. You'll troubleshoot complex Firewall incidents, drive infrastructure automation, and help modernise Firewall operations using Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps practices. What You'll Work With Check Point R8x FortiGate/FortiManager HA Clusters & Policy Management Linux Networking/nftables/iptables Ansible/AWX Git & CI/CD pipelines CMDB/Source of Truth governance Firewall lifecycle automation What We're Looking For 5+ years enterprise Firewall engineering experience Strong troubleshooting across routing, NAT, VPNs & clustering Hands-on experience with Check Point & Fortinet Solid Linux networking knowledge Experience automating infrastructure changes using Ansible Git proficiency & Infrastructure-as-Code mindset Strong RCA, documentation & operational discipline Desirable Juniper SD-WAN (SSR) API-driven Firewall automation GitLab CI/CI-CD tooling AWS Firewall integration High-availability architectures This is an ideal role for engineers who enjoy solving complex network security problems while building scalable, automated, and resilient Firewall infrastructure.
