Business & Project Analyst

We are currently looking for a Freelance Business & Project Analyst with strong expertise in AI, automation, and digital transformation to support a major Belgian player in the energy sector.

You will join a strategic department working at the intersection of Business and IT, helping shape the energy system of the future through innovative technologies, automation initiatives, and AI-driven solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical capabilities, project coordination skills, and hands-on experience with AI implementation in complex organizations.

Your mission

• Support the business in leveraging AI and automation technologies
• Translate business needs into actionable requirements and implementation roadmaps
• Promote AI and automation adoption across the organization
• Assess the value and feasibility of AI use cases
• Coordinate cross-functional implementation projects involving new technologies
• Train and support business users in adopting automation tools effectively
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives supporting the energy transition

Practical information

• Contract: Freelance
• Location: Brussels
• Hybrid setup: minimum 2 days onsite per week
• Start date: ASAP
• Experience required: minimum 9 years relevant experience
• Daily rate: €600/day excl. VAT

• Valid Belgian work permit required

Key responsibilitiesAI & Automation Strategy

• Support operational teams in adopting AI and automation technologies
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains through automation
• Evaluate and prioritize AI use cases based on business value
• Act as an ambassador for AI and automation within the organization

Business Analysis & Project Coordination

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
• Translate business expectations into implementation objectives for IT teams
• Coordinate implementation activities across cross-functional projects
• Ensure alignment between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams

Digital Transformation & Innovation

• Apply AI expertise within a complex operational environment
• Contribute to the modernization of operational processes and digital services
• Support innovation initiatives linked to sustainability and energy transition
• Help optimize operational visibility, automation, and system intelligence

Change Management & User Enablement

• Train users and stakeholders on AI and automation tools
• Support adoption and change management initiatives
• Promote best practices in digital transformation and process optimization

Your profile

• Minimum 9 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong experience in Business Analysis and project coordination
• Proven experience implementing AI solutions in large organizations
• Comfortable working in complex and regulated environments
• Strong stakeholder communication and facilitation skills
• Able to work autonomously and proactively

Technical & business skillsMandatory

• In-depth knowledge of:

Education

• Master’s degree in:
• Civil Engineering
• Commercial Engineering
• Science
• Or equivalent relevant experience
