Functional Analyst

I am currently looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to join a leading technology organisation working on cutting-edge Mobile ID solutions , enabling secure digital identity on mobile devices. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects for government and public sector clients, bridging the gap between business needs and technical delivery in complex identity ecosystems.

Role Overview

As a Senior Functional Analyst, you will play a key role in defining and modelling secure digital identity solutions. You will act as the link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly understood, documented, and translated into scalable system designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories
• Model business processes using BPMN 2.0
• Create UML diagrams , including Sequence Diagrams and ERDs
• Define functional architecture and support system integration (APIs and data models)
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Support Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, testing, and UAT
• Contribute to the successful delivery of complex, distributed identity systems

Required Skills

• 5+ years as a Functional/Business Analyst in IT
• Strong expertise in:
• UML, Sequence Diagrams, ERD
• BPMN 2.0
• Experience with complex or distributed systems
• Knowledge of APIs and system integration
• Agile/Scrum experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with digital identity, eID, or security technologies (PKI, biometrics)
• Background working on public sector or government projects
• Familiarity with identity standards such as eIDAS or ISO
