Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager – Walloon Brabant Region

As an Accounting Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the full accounting process from A to Z within an international environment. You ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with both local regulations and IFRS standards.

You manage accounting teams in Belgium and France and act as a key stakeholder within the finance organization. You report directly to the Head of Finance.

Your main focus areas include general ledger accounting, accounts payable & receivable, and cash management across multiple entities.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage the General Ledger
• Responsible for payroll accounting and fixed assets accounting
• Prepare and follow up on invoicing processes
• Perform reconciliations and account analyses
• Prepare monthly closings in accordance with IFRS
• Prepare monthly explanations and balance sheet analyses
• Responsible for year-end closing activities (IFRS & Local GAAP)
• Collaborate with consolidation and group entities (intercompany reconciliations)
• Prepare cash flow forecasts
• Coordinate internal and external audits
• Coordinate and submit VAT and Intrastat declarations
• Handle corporate tax matters (with support from external advisors)
• Optimize financial processes and systems
• Actively contribute to international finance projects

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP (Belgium/France)
• Experience in a managerial role
• Hands-on, analytical, and strong communication skills
• Fluent in English, with ideally a good knowledge of Dutch and French
