Installation Technician (Immediate Start) (Contract)

We are currently looking for Freelance Industrial Technicians / HVAC Specialists to support an international engineering client delivering industrial cooling and HVAC-related projects across Belgium and Luxembourg. This role is ideal for experienced field engineers who enjoy working independently in a customer-facing environment with regular travel to industrial sites.

Location : Belgium & Luxembourg

Duration : Long-term freelance contract

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Freelance / Independent Consultant

Travel: Regular customer-site travel required (paid on top of hourly/daily rate)

Language: English required, French highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service, maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting for industrial HVAC and cooling systems.

• Carry out interventions on chillers, heat pumps, and associated mechanical/electrical installations.

• Support commissioning, servicing, and optimisation activities across customer facilities.

• Work independently on customer sites while ensuring high technical and service standards.

• Communicate directly with customers regarding technical findings, repairs, and recommendations.

• Prepare service reports and technical documentation following interventions.

• Travel regularly across Belgium and Luxembourg to support customer operations.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience within industrial HVAC, cooling, or mechanical service environments.

• Proven experience working on chillers and heat pump systems.

• Good knowledge of scroll and screw compressors.

• Understanding of electrical installations and hydraulic systems.

• Comfortable diagnosing faults and carrying out technical interventions independently.

• Ability to work autonomously in field-service environments with minimal supervision.

• Professional communication skills in English; French language skills are highly desirable.

• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
