Lead .NET Engineer

I am looking for a Lead .NET Engineer to help shape and scale a next-generation MedTech platform used by healthcare professionals, laboratories, and clinical stakeholders. You will lead the design and delivery of high-quality software solutions that directly contribute to improving patient care, operational efficiency, and healthcare innovation.

As a technical leader, you will combine hands-on engineering with architectural guidance, mentoring, and collaboration across product, QA, DevOps, and business teams in the form of a hybrid role based in Ghent with flexibility for remote work several days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable .NET applications and services
• Drive architectural decisions and establish engineering best practices
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Mentor and coach software engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance
• Build and maintain secure, reliable, and compliant healthcare software systems
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps improvements
• Ensure software quality through automated testing, monitoring, and performance optimization
• Support integration with third-party healthcare systems, APIs, and data platforms
• Participate in technical roadmap planning and delivery management

Required Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering with strong expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem
• Proven experience leading technical teams or acting as a senior technical authority
• Azure cloud services
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Excellent communication skills in English
