Project Lead – Service Lines & Substations (HV) – FR & NL!

About the role

Are you ready to work on high-impact projects within the European energy transition?

As a Project Lead for Service Lines & Substations , you will contribute to the development and execution of high-voltage infrastructure projects in Belgium (36 kV – 380 kV). You will be part of a key player in the energy landscape, working on projects that ensure a reliable, sustainable, and future-proof electricity supply.

You will be involved in projects from early definition through to final delivery and administrative closure, combining technical expertise, coordination, and stakeholder management. Depending on your experience, you will operate independently or under guidance, with strong development opportunities through an extensive training program.

You will work within the Infrastructure Projects department, with activities split between office (Brussels – Schaerbeek), home working, and frequent site visits across the Southeast region.

Your responsibilities

Project Definition & Engineering

• Participate in the definition, study, and design phases of HV infrastructure projects
• Support and follow up on technical studies and engineering activities
• Contribute to technical decision-making and project scope definition

Planning, Budget & Resources

• Prepare and follow up on project budgets and planning
• Align timelines with available resources and client requirements
• Monitor project progress and financial performance

Procurement & Contracting

• Develop tender documentation and technical specifications
• Participate in procurement and supplier selection processes
• Support evaluation of offers and contractual alignment

Site Coordination & Execution

• Lead and coordinate on-site execution activities in collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Ensure proper execution of works on high-voltage substations and lines
• Follow up on site progress, safety, and quality

Communication & Reporting

• Report project progress to internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure clear communication between all involved parties
• Support administrative closure of projects

Your profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or equivalent through experience
• 2–7 years of experience in project management and/or site supervision
• Strong interest in the energy sector and technical infrastructure projects
• Excellent command of French and good understanding of Dutch
• Strong sense of responsibility and excellent organizational skills
• Communicative, assertive, and customer-oriented mindset
• Strong team player with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach

Languages

• French: fluent (required)
• Dutch: good understanding required

Practical

• Location: Brussels (Schaerbeek – Monnoyerkaai area)
• Onsite presence: 2 days per week (default)
• Active role including frequent site visits across the Southeast region
• Hybrid working model (office, home, and field work)
