Manager Analytics & Sales Steering
Position Overview
The Manager Analytics and Sales Steering supports the CEO and senior business leaders, particularly within Life & Health and Sales, in achieving strategic priorities across the Benelux region.
The role drives profitable growth by delivering transparency and actionable insights on sales performance, opportunities, and market trends. Acting as a trusted partner to Sales, the position enables data-driven decision-making that improves commercial effectiveness, productivity, and conversion.
The role leads the modernization of sales analytics capabilities through advanced tools, standardized reporting, and automation, ensuring strong business intelligence and alignment with business priorities.
Strategic Imperatives
- Lead and Develop the Sales Analytics Team: Manage a team of 5–7 analytics professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while bringing the local teams together in 1 central function. Coach, mentor, and build a balanced mix of junior and senior profiles to ensure resilience and long-term capability.
- Shape the Sales Data & Analytics Agenda: Define and drive the analytics strategy in close collaboration with the regional CEO, local CSOs, and senior leadership, ensuring strong business value, productivity, and alignment with Benelux’s growth objectives.
- Act as a Strategic Partner to Sales : Embrace a “Partner of Sales” mindset, delivering actionable insights and advanced analytics that directly contribute to profitable growth and improved commercial performance.
- Ensure Operational Resilience: Maintain uninterrupted execution of mission-critical processes while advancing analytics maturity and modernizing capabilities for sustainable success.
- Generate Customer & Market Insights: Analyze transactional and operational data to uncover patterns in customer behavior, market dynamics, and sales performance, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Support Strategic Initiatives : Advise and assist the CEO, CSOs, and other senior leaders on strategic projects, including RFPs, M&A, transformation, innovation, digitalization, and organizational development.
- Drive End-to-End Performance Management: Oversee processes, cost control, and productivity monitoring, including planning and monthly tracking of commercial objectives, budgets, workforce, and key business KPIs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor and right hand to senior leadership, ensuring clear communication of vision, objectives, and milestones across the organization and to external partners.
- Deliver High-Quality Outputs: Prepare impactful presentations, reports, briefings, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making with focus on analytics.
- Sales Data Management & Analysis : Manage and analyze sales data for both P&C and Life & Health, including variable compensation calculations, surcom convention evaluations, and forecasting methodologies.
- Define Analytics & Technology Strategy : Collaborate with the Technology and the Benelux Data Office to shape the sales analytics tech roadmap, define requirements for data warehouse migration, and ensure robust testing and quality assurance.
- Establish Forecasting & Reporting Frameworks : Design and operationalize forecasting and reporting methodologies for sales performance across Benelux.
Executive Profile
Experience & Track Record:
- Proven experience in sales analytics, business steering, or commercial performance management within a complex organization, preferably in the insurance sector.
- Demonstrated track record in building or transforming Sales Data & Analytics functions, including team integration and capability development.
- Experience supporting executive-level decision-making through performance reporting, forecasting, and strategic insights.
- Proven ability to design and implement forecasting and performance management frameworks.
- Experience contributing to strategic initiatives such as transformation, digitalization, or organizational change.
- Experience in a cross-regional or Benelux environment is considered an asset.
Technical & Strategic Skills:
- Strong expertise in sales analytics, performance steering, and business intelligence.
- Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Snowflake, SAS , or similar platforms.
- Ability to design impactful dashboards and scalable reporting frameworks.
- Solid understanding of forecasting methodologies, KPI-based steering, and performance cycles.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
- Good understanding of insurance products, sales processes, and commercial KPIs.
Education & Credentials:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics , or a related discipline.
- Additional certifications in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Project Management , or Change Management are considered an asset.
- Continuous professional development in analytics technologies or leadership is considered a plus.
