As part of its global Quality Management System (QMS) transformation program, our client is seeking a Quality Performance Lead to play a key role in shaping the future of Quality performance across the organization.

The ambition of this program goes beyond harmonizing the QMS: it aims to establish a value-driven approach to Quality performance measurement, moving beyond traditional metrics to support data-driven decision-making at executive level.

In this context, the Quality Performance Lead will define how Quality is measured, monitored, and translated into actionable insights across a global, highly regulated environment.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Quality Performance & Process Management, the Quality Performance Lead is responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the global Quality Performance framework.

The role combines strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a strong focus on stakeholder alignment, KPI design, and performance insight generation.

You will operate in a highly matrixed, international environment (Europe, US, Asia including Japan), collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Performance Framework & KPI Strategy

• Design, implement, and maintain the global Quality Performance framework
• Build and structure the Quality KPI pyramid (operational, tactical, strategic)
• Ensure KPIs are aligned with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and quality objectives
• Define KPI governance (creation, updates, lifecycle management)

KPI Design & Continuous Improvement

• Lead cross-functional workshops to define KPIs, targets, thresholds, and escalation rules
• Challenge existing metrics to ensure they are meaningful, robust, and decision-oriented
• Drive harmonization of KPIs across sites, functions, and GxP/non-GxP domains
• Promote continuous improvement and performance mindset across the organization

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholders in a global matrix environment
• Interact regularly with senior leadership and international teams
• Build trust while constructively challenging subject matter experts
• Act as a bridge between business and data/IT teams

Performance Analysis & Management Review

• Consolidate and analyze Quality performance data across the organization
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Prepare insightful narratives and reporting for Management Reviews and governance forums
• Support decision-making with clear, data-driven recommendations

Dashboards & Data Visualization

• Define requirements for dashboards and reporting tools in collaboration with IT/Data teams
• Ensure KPIs are accurately translated into visual dashboards (e.g., Power BI)
• Oversee development, testing, and deployment of reporting solutions
• Establish reporting standards, cadence, and communication practices

Profile

Must-Have

• 5–8+ years of relevant experience in Quality performance, KPI systems, or similar roles
• Proven experience in designing and implementing performance measurement frameworks
• Experience in a regulated environment (Pharma, Nuclear, Aviation, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Quality processes (GxP preferred)
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
• Ability to challenge and align senior stakeholders (VP level)
• Fluent English (mandatory)
• Strong analytical mindset combined with hands-on execution capability
• Comfortable working in complex, global, matrix organizations

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in the pharmaceutical / biopharma industry
• Knowledge of Power BI or other dashboarding tools
• French language skills
• Experience in change management
• Strong data and system understanding (data logic, visualization principles)
