Business / Functional Analyst (Freelance) – Payroll Engine Build – Leuven

A HR services organization in Belgium is looking for a Business / Functional Analyst to support the build of a new payroll engine within its HR and payroll service landscape.

The assignment focuses on analysis of payroll requirements, definition of functional specifications, and support of the design and implementation of a new payroll calculation and processing engine. The scope includes alignment between HR, payroll, and IT stakeholders.

Respon sibilities

• Analyse payroll and HR business requirements
• Gather and document functional requirements for a payroll engine
• Map AS-IS payroll processes and define TO-BE design
• Support design of payroll calculation, validation, and processing logic
• Coordinate workshops with HR, payroll, and IT stakeholders
• Support integration with HR systems, time tracking, and finance systems
• Support testing activities including test scenario definition and validation
• Ensure alignment between regulatory payroll rules and system design

Profile

• Experience as Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in HR/payroll environments
• Knowledge of payroll processes and payroll system logic
• Experience with requirements gathering and functional specification writing
• Experience with stakeholder management across HR, payroll, and IT
• Freelance availability
