Project Engineer
Role Overview
As a Project Engineer , you will play a key role within the Engineering department, contributing to the technical delivery of multidisciplinary projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the coherence, quality, and functionality of engineering designs, while proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Project Leaders and fellow Project Engineers , focusing on the technical aspects of project delivery (while Project Leaders retain overall organisational responsibility).
- Participate in the full project lifecycle , from feasibility studies and conceptual design through to project closure.
- Act as the central technical link between the design team, technical experts, and the Project Leader.
- Contribute to the definition and development of project scope and design , including conducting technical studies.
- Lead and guide the design team during the detailed design phase , ensuring alignment with scope, quality standards, and timelines.
- Monitor progress and provide regular technical updates and reports .
- Anticipate the impact of new concepts or changes and take necessary actions to ensure smooth implementation.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Industrial), ideally with a focus on construction
- Knowledge of electricity grids is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Fluent in French (essential); working knowledge of Dutch is a plus
