Automation Engineer – Dairy Production
Location: Ghent, Belgium
Work Setup: Hybrid
Contract Type: Freelance / ZZP
Contract Length: 12 months

A dairy production company near Ghent is looking for an Automation Engineer to support production line upgrades and process automation projects across a large-scale manufacturing site.
The factory operates fully automated processing, batching and packaging systems integrated with Siemens PLC and SCADA environments.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and modify Siemens PLC software for dairy processing systems
- Support commissioning and troubleshooting activities on production lines
- Configure and maintain HMI and SCADA systems
- Support automation upgrades across filling, batching and CIP systems
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams during implementation phases
Requirements
- Strong experience with Siemens TIA Portal and industrial automation
- Experience within food, dairy or process manufacturing environments
- Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automated production systems
- Understanding of batching, process control and CIP systems preferred
- Dutch mandatory
