Digital UX Designer (Project) – Brussels

We are looking for an experienced Digital UX Designer to support the digital transformation of a leading organization within the energy sector. You will join a multidisciplinary digital team focused on delivering intuitive, human-centered experiences across web and mobile platforms for residential, professional and enterprise users.

This is an interim assignment based in Brussels, with an initial duration of 9 to 12 months and the possibility of extension.

Your Role

As a UX Designer, you will collaborate closely with service designers, UI designers, UX researchers, UX copywriters, product owners, and developers. Using a Design Thinking approach, you will contribute to the creation and optimization of digital products and services, including AI-assisted experiences.

You will play a key role in ensuring consistent, seamless, and user-friendly customer journeys across multiple digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Discovery

• Define project scope, clarify user and business challenges, and identify the most appropriate design approach.
• Conduct user research activities such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, and analytics reviews.
• Audit existing digital journeys and interfaces to identify usability issues and improvement opportunities.
• Perform competitive benchmarking and analyze emerging digital and AI-assisted interaction patterns.
• Translate research findings into actionable insights and design opportunities.

UX Design & Prototyping

• Facilitate ideation workshops and design sprints with cross-functional teams.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction concepts for web and mobile environments.
• Design intuitive AI-assisted experiences, including conversational and adaptive interaction patterns where relevant.
• Prepare and conduct user testing sessions to validate concepts before development.
• Apply a continuous improvement mindset supported by user feedback and data insights.

UX Advocacy

• Promote user-centered design methodologies across business and digital teams.
• Support stakeholders in understanding and applying UX and Design Thinking principles.
• Contribute to the adoption of best practices in digital experience design and human-AI interaction.

Your Profile

Experience & Expertise

• Minimum 5 years of experience in UX Design and Design Thinking methodologies.
• Strong expertise in wireframing, prototyping, journey mapping, and interaction design.
• Proven experience designing digital experiences for web and mobile platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted UX patterns such as conversational interfaces or adaptive experiences is considered a strong asset.
• Ability to communicate concepts clearly through visual storytelling and structured design deliverables.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and design systems.
• Experience using collaborative tools such as Miro for workshops and journey mapping.
• Comfortable building interactive prototypes, including AI interaction simulations.
• Understanding of adaptive interfaces and AI-enhanced user experiences.

Soft Skills
