Senior Liability Claims Specialist

For a leading international insurance group, we are looking for a Senior Liability Claims Specialist to join a corporate claims team handling complex liability cases for SME and large corporate clients.

This is a high-exposure role where you will combine legal analysis, negotiation and stakeholder management across a wide variety of industries and claim types.

Your role

You take full ownership of complex liability claims, acting as a key partner for clients, brokers and internal stakeholders.

• Manage corporate liability claims end-to-end (SME & large accounts)
• Analyse claims, assess coverage and interpret policy conditions
• Handle complex files with significant financial exposure and/or bodily injury
• Lead negotiations and aim for efficient out-of-court settlements
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders (lawyers, experts, brokers, medical advisors, etc.)
• Act as the central point of contact throughout the lifecycle of the claim
• Ensure high-quality reporting and compliance with internal standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement of claims processes and tools

Your profile

You bring a solid technical background combined with strong ownership and communication skills.

• Master’s degree in Law
• Around 5+ years of experience in liability claims handling
• Strong knowledge of liability insurance (corporate risks / RC / BA)
• Analytical mindset with strong synthesis skills
• Confident communicator and negotiator
• Client-oriented, able to manage sensitive and complex situations
• Structured, proactive and resilient

Languages

• Dutch: native or fully professional (essential)
• French: good professional level
