Quality & safety Manager // full-time or part-time // brussels-based

You make sure our beers at the Port Sud brewery (30.000 hecto/year) are mind-blowing & our quality sits at the top of the “champion’s league”. You own quality and safety end-to-end — developing & rolling out the right program, and rallying the whole team around the pursuit of perfect quality!

What is Brussels Beer Project

Brussels Beer Project was born in 2013 with the election of DELTA IPA among 4 prototypes. A great choice! It allowed us to bring together more than 6,000 “beer for life” crowdfunders and bring a fresh and creative approach to the beer market.

Today, BBP means two breweries in Brussels, as well as 6 BBP bars across Belgium and France. But above all, it’s a team of 50 dreamers and doers who want to bring beers with character and values into the fridges of beer lovers. We look for people sharing our philosophy and eager to shake the ground with Brussels Beer Project. Looking forward to meeting you!

You will:

The quality program is already solid at Port Sud. Your job is to take it further — including rolling out a dedicated program for our NA beers — backed by a team of talented, passionate brewers.

· devise and establish a company's quality procedures, standards and specifications

· manage samplings & monitor performance by gathering/analyzing relevant data

· come up with clear, actionable recommendations to drive quality improvements

· set standards for quality as well as health and safety

· define and enforce quality requirements with external suppliers

· identify and act on opportunities to reduce waste and boost efficiency

· set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures

· liaise with staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve top quality standards

· occasionally brew & help package

What we’re looking for?

Yes, the role calls for experience & a proven track record — but we hire for fit first. We want someone with a results-driven mindset over a pure R&D approach. You’ll have solid tools to track quality in-house, and strong partners to back you up.

· keen to brew & package when needed

· at least 2-year experience in quality role in a brewery

· English is required. French is a big plus.
