Senior Scheduler

About the role

You will be aiding a leading industrial manufacturer to strengthen the delivery performance of major CAPEX programmes by improving schedule governance and project controls maturity during the pre-award phase.

We need a Senior Scheduling Expert to embed alongside central engineering leadership as a hands-on co-pilot — enforcing schedule rigour at the pre-award stage and driving the transition from Excel Gantt charts to live network logic in P6.

What you will deliver

Pre-award Level 4 schedule enforcement

No contract signed without a verified contractor schedule. Mandate L4 submission and negotiate logic before final investment decision.

Network diagram transition

Move internal teams from cell-coloured spreadsheets to true finish-to-start logic with real critical path visibility in Primavera P6.

Earned value management rollout

Operationalise SPI, CPI and weighted physical progress across the European portfolio. Move beyond time-only tracking.

Monte Carlo risk reporting

Implement P20/P50/P80 probability outputs so project leaders can defend realistic timelines to steering committees with data.

Essential requirements

• 10+ years in project scheduling on EPC mega-projects (Oil & Gas, mining, utilities, heavy industrial, or steel)
• Client-side experience managing and challenging contractor schedules — not just building them internally
• Primavera P6 at Level 4: build from scratch, track float, validate logic, reject non-compliant contractor submissions
• Earned value fluency: SPI and CPI volunteered unprompted, not just recognised when asked
• English essential; French, Italian, or Spanish a genuine advantage for this European portfolio
• Fluent, consistent, date-verifiable career narrative — applications with unexplained gaps will not progress
