Dynamics 365 Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Own and govern the overall Dynamics 365 F&O solution architecture across the programme landscape.
• Lead the design, maintenance, and governance of the core ERP template solution.
• Define end-to-end functional and technical designs across manufacturing, planning, warehousing, procurement, logistics, sales, and finance processes.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and standardised ERP solutions suitable for international operations.
• Drive architectural decision making around operational processes, planning structures, warehousing models, and manufacturing flows.
• Facilitate workshops, solution reviews, FIT/GAP assessments, and cross-functional design discussions.
• Provide hands-on support within complex functional streams including testing, process validation, and business sign-off activities.
• Ensure governance and template adherence during implementation and rollout phases while balancing local business requirements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, implementation partners, and third-party vendors.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to internal ERP capability development.
• Review solution quality across functional design, integrations, testing readiness, and deployment activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 F&O solutions within complex enterprise environments.
• Proven track record as a Solution Architect on medium to large-scale international ERP programmes.
• Strong expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Manufacturing & Production
• Master Planning / MRP
• Warehousing & Logistics
• Supply Chain & Inventory Management
• Procurement & Trade
• Strong understanding of D365 F&O architecture, integrations, extension models, and data management concepts.
• Experience collaborating with functional consultants, business analysts, developers, and external implementation partners.
• Ability to translate operational requirements into scalable ERP solution designs.
• Experience reviewing and validating functional and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across both operational and leadership teams.
• Comfortable operating within structured programme governance environments.
• Experience mentoring junior consultants or internal ERP team members is advantageous.
• Additional experience with Power Platform, Azure DevOps, MES/WMS integrations, or enterprise architecture frameworks would be beneficial.
