Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to build and maintain the runtime platform powering our server hardware appliance. If you are passionate about Linux systems, container platforms and creating reliable, secure environments for software to run, we'd love to hear from you!

Key deliverables

• Build and maintain a reliable and reproducible Linux-based platform for our server appliance, built on Java Spring Boot, Kotlin, MongoDB, Maven and Helm.
• Configure and optimize the container runtime and container orchestration platform.
• Ensure the platform is secure, stable and performant on dedicated hardware.
• Design and implement robust update mechanisms for both system and application layers.
• Define and maintain system configurations aligned with architecture and product requirements.
• Integrate monitoring, logging and diagnostics to ensure visibility into system health.
• Automate platform builds and releases through CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with backend developers to ensure smooth deployment and runtime behavior of our server application.
• Work within an agile development process, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement and daily standups.
• Continuously stay up to date with new technologies and contribute to platform and process improvements.

Required competences

• Strong experience with Linux systems (system configuration, networking, services).
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (k3s is a plus).
• Experience with Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with system-level troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• A problem-solving mindset, with a focus on delivering reliable and maintainable systems.
• The ability to collaborate in a team, working effectively with developers, testers and architects.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability in delivering robust platform solutions.
• An interest in the AV industry or a willingness to learn about AV technologies.
