Service Owner


Service Owner – HR & Payroll Applications


For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Service Owner to lead the strategic development and lifecycle management of business-critical applications within an HR, payroll, and personnel-related environment.

In this role, you will act as the counterpart of the Project Manager. While the Project Manager focuses on delivery and execution, you will own the vision, strategy, positioning, and roadmap of the applications and services.

📅 Start Date: ASAP - long -term

🏢 Hybrid: Onsite every Wednesday & Friday

🗣 Languages: Dutch & English required (French is a plus)


Your Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for HR and payroll-related applications
  • Analyze customer needs and translate them into innovative service and application concepts
  • Manage and optimize a portfolio of business-critical applications
  • Define clear value propositions and strategic positioning for each application
  • Coordinate product evolution together with delivery and IT teams
  • Ensure alignment between business, IT, and customer expectations
  • Integrate compliance and regulatory requirements into application strategy and development
  • Monitor KPIs, service performance, and SLA management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple levels and departments
  • Continuously improve services and application offerings


Profile

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Product Management for applications and Service Management within an IT/software environment
  • Proven experience with business-critical or custom-built applications, product strategy and roadmap development
  • Experience within a regulated environment is mandatory (e.g. government, finance, HR/payroll, healthcare, mutualities, etc.)
  • Knowledge of HR, payroll, or personnel processes is a strong asset
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in Dutch with good English skills (French is a plus)
