Mission
You will serve as the primary contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders when quality deviations occur in packaging materials, components, and medical devices. You are responsible for performing and documenting supplier investigations that support the assessment of product acceptability and the development of proposals for continuous improvement of products and processes. You also monitor and follow up on the quality performance of suppliers and regularly engage with them to address significant issues.
Your responsibilities
- Contact suppliers and follow up on investigations at the supplier, including assessment of investigation results and proposed actions for identified quality deviations.
- Review corrective and preventive actions from suppliers and verify the effectiveness of these actions to prevent recurrence of deviations in supplied materials.
- Coordinate cross-functional investigations in cases of complex root cause investigations that require input from different internal departments and technical experts.
- Inspect and assess incoming materials that do not meet specifications, and document findings to support decisions on product acceptability and required follow-up.
- Organize and lead regular quality meetings with suppliers to discuss quality performance, significant deviations, and expectations for continuous improvement activities.
- Visit supplier production sites in the context of quality deviations with significant impact and during audits, and report on observed risks and compliance.
- Evaluate supplier quality performance on an ongoing basis and prepare documentation and analyses to support Performance Review Meetings with suppliers.
- Ensure that products assembled and packaged on site comply with company requirements and applicable legal requirements before they are released.
- Assign temporary and final dispositions, including release, restricted release, reject, and rework, to finished product batches based on investigation outcomes and quality assessments.
- Sign market specific documents, statements, and certificates related to finished product, ensuring that all market requirements and quality obligations are fulfilled.
What skills do you bring to the table?
- University degree in a scientific discipline, providing a strong foundation in scientific principles and regulated manufacturing environments.
- Work experience in an aseptic production environment and/or experience handling quality incidents of medicinal products/vaccines is considered a valuable asset.
- Very good analytical skills, enabling structured assessment of investigation data, root causes, and supplier performance trends.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in Dutch and English , to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent documentation and project management skills
- Strong team player mindset, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and contributing to shared quality and supply chain objectives.
