Business Development Manager - Waste Management


About the job - As Business Development Manager, you are the driving force behind our commercial expansion. You combine a strong technical background with keen commercial insight. Your primary focus is on new market development and acquisition, complemented by strategic relationship management to create long-term value. You are a high-level conversational partner who does not sell on price, but based on technical added value and problem-solving ability. Your Profile: Engineering & Commercial Acumen Education: You hold a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Industrial or Civil Engineer). A Professional Bachelor's degree in Mechanics with relevant years of experience is also eligible. Experience: You have a solid track record in technical solution sales, preferably within machine building or complex project-based environments. Language skills: You communicate professionally in Dutch and English. Knowledge of German is a strong asset; any additional language is an absolute plus. Business Mindset: Your focus is 75% on Business Development (identifying and converting new opportunities) and 25% on Account Management (deepening existing customer relationships). Tech & AI Savvy: You work in a structured manner using a CRM system (A to Z) and have an active interest in deploying software, apps, and AI tools to accelerate and optimize your sales process. Your Responsibilities- Consultative Selling: You open doors with strategic prospects by flawlessly detecting their needs and challenges and translating them into technical solutions. Market Intelligence & Input: You act as the strategic link between the market and our organization. You provide the marketing team with crucial market information and trends to optimize lead generation campaigns. Project Management: You are responsible for the entire commercial process, operating both autonomously and collaborating seamlessly with the internal team. Willingness to travel: You are willing to travel to clients and trade fairs, striking the right balance between being present at the office and face-to-face meetings with international partners.
