Artificial Intelligence Engineer

The Role

As an AI Engineer within an environmental technology company you will be responsible for developing intelligent solutions that help reduce carbon emissions. You will work on AI-driven systems that optimize energy usage, improve operational efficiency and support sustainability initiatives. Therefore you will be contributing to projects focused on decarbonization, energy optimization and emissions monitoring across energy and environmental sectors.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models for sustainability-focused use cases such as energy optimization, emissions forecasting, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and resource efficiency
• Build and maintain scalable ML pipelines for training, validation, and real-time inference across environmental and industrial systems
• Develop robust data preprocessing, feature engineering, and transformation workflows for large-scale operational and environmental datasets
• Support deployment of AI systems on cloud and edge environments using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Contribute to MLOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, reproducibility, governance, and system observability
• Help develop responsible AI solutions that support environmental compliance, reporting, and long-term sustainability goals

Your Profile

• 2–6+ years of experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with ML/DL frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar
• Experience building and deploying ML pipelines in production environments
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts including ETL/ELT, streaming pipelines, sensor data, or IoT systems
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Passion for sustainability, climate technology, and environmental innovation
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills across technical and operational teams
• Experience working with energy, industrial, environmental, or sustainability-related data is a plus
