Legal Internship


Do you want to contribute to a safe European market while gaining an authentic international experience as a consultant?

Obelis is currently looking for a Legal Intern!

Your role and key responsibilities will be:

  1. Provide professional and reliable support to internal stakeholders and the Legal Department team.
  2. Support a broad range of legal and regulatory work relevant to the department’s activities.
  3. Assist, under supervision, with legal and regulatory services delivered to Obelis service clients for regulatory purposes.
  4. Assist, where relevant, with matters handled by Obelis as subcontractor for other companies.
  5. Support legal research, monitoring of legal developments, and collection of background materials.
  6. Assist in preparing, reviewing, formatting, and updating legal documents, templates, summaries, and internal materials.
  7. Follow up assigned tasks in a timely and organized manner and report progress to the relevant supervisor.
  8. Contribute to internal know-how, training materials, and team documentation when requested.
  9. Support department procedures, quality requirements, and ad hoc internal projects.
  10. Participate in team meetings and company events where relevant to the role.

Requirements

  • Applicants must hold EU work permit.
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Law, European Law, Internal Law, Political Sciences, or similar.
  • Previous professional experience is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (written & oral). Knowledge of any other languages is a plus.
  • Academic or initial practical exposure to legal research and legal writing.
  • Interest in regulatory, compliance, and business-oriented legal work.
  • Ability to work accurately, handle information confidentially, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to analyse information and prepare clear written outputs under supervision.

  • Location: Brussels
  • Full-time paid internship: 6+6 months (with possibility to develop your career at Obelis after the internship)
  • 18 days off - to be granted after start-up period: 3 months
  • 15 teleworking days from abroad - to be granted after start-up period: 3 months
