Scrum Master

Mission Context

The Scrum Master plays a key role within Agile squads by ensuring the proper implementation of Agile methodologies and maximizing team efficiency and delivery value.

You will support and coach the squad, facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and foster collaboration between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external contributors in a dynamic banking environment.

Function Description

Agile Squad Follow-up

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospective) and other squad meetings

• Coordinate and follow up on key Agile delivery milestones

• Ensure the smooth adoption and application of Scrum and Agile methodologies

• Support the Product Owner in backlog management and prioritization

• Assist the squad in delivering Sprint Backlogs and Definition of Done objectives

• Track squad capacity, velocity, and delivery metrics for planning and continuous improvement purposes

Agile Coaching & Continuous Improvement

• Act as servant leader for the squad and promote Agile best practices

• Coach, challenge, and support squad members to improve collaboration and delivery performance

• Protect the squad from external interruptions and organizational distractions

• Help define and maintain squad strategy together with team members

• Identify and resolve squad-level impediments, risks, and issues

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize Agile processes

• Collaborate actively with internal and external stakeholders

• Maintain relationships with third-party providers when applicable

Language Requirements

• English: Strong working knowledge mandatory

• French: Strong asset

• Dutch: Asset

Work Environment

• Hybrid working model: 50% on-site / 50% remote

• Limited travel to Paris may be required

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as Scrum Master in Agile environments

Technical Skills

Mandatory:

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

• Experience with Agile reporting and tracking tools (e.g. Rally)

• Good understanding of software development methodologies

• Knowledge of project management principles and delivery follow-up

Nice to have:

• Understanding of automated testing and continuous integration tooling

• Knowledge of CI/CD environments and Agile engineering practices

• Knowledge of Payments domain is considered a strong plus
