QHSE Engineer

Overview

A leading global technology manufacturer is seeking a QHSE Engineer to join its operations in Leuven, Belgium, within a major research centre environment. This newly created, permanent position addresses a legal requirement and strengthens the organisation’s focus on quality, health, safety, and environmental standards across multiple European locations. The role will involve close collaboration with teams in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Crawley, supporting compliance initiatives and a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Take active ownership of health and safety management in the Netherlands.
• Prepare and complete annual QHSE reports.
• Support ad‑hoc QHSE projects and compliance improvements.
• Collaborate with service section managers and technical teams to implement and maintain standards.
• Coordinate requirements relating to rented office facilities and associated compliance oversight.
• Travel regularly to company sites in the Netherlands and Crawley to ensure consistency of QHSE practices.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience or good working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Educational background in chemistry or engineering.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Dutch language proficiency and willingness to relocate to Belgium are essential.
• 3-5 years of experience in QHSE role

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00–17:00
• Location: Leuven, Belgium, with travel to the Netherlands and Crawley
