Freelance Data Engineer (Data Vault)

Are you a Data Engineer with a passion for building robust, scalable data warehouses?

We’re looking for a skilled professional to join an exciting project in Brussels on a contract basis.

Your Role

As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and implementing a modern data warehouse using the Data Vault methodology. You’ll work closely with business and technical teams to ensure data is structured, reliable, and ready to drive insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Data Vault 2.0 models (Hubs, Links, Satellites)
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions
• Ensure data quality, governance, and scalability
• Integrate data from multiple sources into a centralized warehouse

Your Profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer in data warehousing projects
• Strong expertise in Data Vault modeling
• Hands-on experience with SQL and modern data platforms
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools (e.g. dbt, Informatica, Airflow, etc.)
• Fluent in English (French or Dutch is a plus)

• Location: Brussels, Belgium (hybrid possible)
• Contract: Freelance / Contract position
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Initial 6–12 months (extension likely)
