In 2022, the brand expanded into beauty and fragrance with the launch of gender-fluid fragrances and refillable lipsticks. In June 2024, Dries Van Noten presented his final collection as Creative Director but continues to contribute to the brand. In December 2024, Julian Klausner was appointed Creative Director.

The Opportunity

As Fabric Developer, you play a key role in shaping the material selection of each collection. You ensure that every fabric reflects the identity of the house, balancing creativity with technical precision and responsibility. Working in close collaboration with Design, Product development, Production, Merchandising, and ESG, you bring innovative and sustainable textile developments to life while maintaining strong partnerships with mills and suppliers.

Responsabilities

• Sourcing & Innovation: Find and develop unique, high-quality fabrics that align with our brand's aesthetic. Explore new materials and technologies to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
• Quality & Sustainability: Ensure all fabrics meet our high standards for quality and sustainability. You'll be the go-to expert on textile performance and environmentally friendly practices.
• Supplier Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with fabric suppliers and mills. Negotiate terms and maintain an open line of communication to ensure smooth, cost-effective sourcing.
• Project Management: Oversee the fabric development process from sampling to sampling orders. Keep projects on track and ensure timely delivery of materials for collection.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of all fabrics, including specifications, testing results, and supplier info in our systems.

• Work closely with our ESG manager to support ESG initiatives

Profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabric or product development within a fashion or textile environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Product Design, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, textile construction, and performance across categories.
• A refined creative sensibility, with a strong understanding of colour, texture, and composition.
• Proven experience managing development processes from concept to delivery.
• Ability to build and maintain strong supplier and mill relationships.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple developments simultaneously.
• Strong project management skills, with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams.
• Proficiency in PLM systems and digital tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
