Collection officer

Nexeo Belgium is a consulting company supporting clients in the banking, finance, insurance, and public sectors throughout their transformation projects.

We are currently looking for a Debt Collection Officer to join a dynamic and growing environment within the financial services sector.

Our client is a key player in debt collection and credit management , part of an international financial group and closely linked to the banking sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage outstanding debts and contact debtors via phone (main activity)
• Conduct daily outbound call campaigns to negotiate sustainable payment plans
• Analyze the debtor’s financial situation and define appropriate repayment solutions
• Follow up on payment plans (amicable and judicial procedures)
• Handle newly cancelled files and ensure execution of guarantees
• Maintain regular contact via phone, email, and internal tools
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
• Define and apply the best recovery strategy for each situation

Profile

Education

• Bachelor or Master degree

Languages

• Dutch – Fluent / Native
• French – Fluent / Native
• English – Good knowledge

Experience & Skills

Mandatory

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in collection telephony
• Strong negotiation skills
• Administrative background

Nice to have

• First experience in KYC
• Interest in banking and financial products
