Freelance Data Analyst – Financial Services
Overview
We are supporting a major financial services client undergoing a large-scale merger and data transformation programme. We are looking for 2 Freelance Data Analysts to support data operations, reconciliation, reporting, and vendor oversight activities.
Location: Hybrid (50% onsite)
Start: ASAP
Contract: Until end of year with strong extension potential
Language: English
Responsibilities
• Data analysis, reconciliation, and validation
• Support data migration and operational reporting activities
• Monitor and improve data quality controls
• Work closely with external data vendors/service providers
• Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies/issues
• Collaborate with business and technical teams in an Agile environment
Required Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Excellent Excel and SQL skills
• Experience with Python
• Structured, organised, and proactive approach
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in fast-paced environments
Nice to Have
• Experience with Alteryx
• Financial services experience (banking, insurance, asset management etc.)
• Exposure to data governance or reporting operations
