About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a leading banking organization in Brussels. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and platforms that support analytics, reporting, and digital banking initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines and data solutions
• Build and optimize scalable data architectures
• Ensure data quality, security, and reliability
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders
• Support cloud and data platform modernization projects
• Mentor junior team members and promote engineering best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering
• Strong SQL and Python/Scala/Java skills
• Experience with Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or similar tools
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with data warehousing and large-scale data processing
• Strong communication skills in English

Nice to Have

• Banking or financial services experience
• Experience with Snowflake or Databricks
• French or Dutch language skills
