ABOUT THE ROLE - WELDING&NDT INSPECTOR

We are looking for an experienced Welding&NDT Inspector to join an exciting international project in Antwerp.

The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising and inspecting welding and non-destructive testing activities related to piping systems, steel structures, and pressure vessels, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, international standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding inspections on piping systems, steel structures, and pressure vessels during fabrication and installation activities.
• Monitor and verify the correct execution of welding procedures in accordance with approved WPS/PQR and project requirements.
• Supervise and witness Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, including RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT inspections.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Verify material traceability, weld maps, weld history sheets, and inspection records.
• Review welding documentation, NDT reports, and quality dossiers.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is performed according to quality and HSE standards.
• Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, QA/QC departments, and client representatives.
• Identify non-conformities and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor repair activities and ensure proper closure of punch items.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and technical documentation.
• Provide regular updates to QA/QC Managers, Site Managers, and Project Management.
• Support final dossier preparation and handover documentation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Welding & NDT Inspector in industrial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, steel structures, and pressure vessels.
• Experience with international standards and codes related to welding and NDT inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and welding documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Good command of English.

Required Certifications:

• Valid Welding Inspection certification.
• Valid NDT certifications.
• VCA/VOL certification mandatory.
