Overview

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Financial Controller to support and strengthen our financial close and reporting activities across multiple sites. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high‑quality, consistent, and timely financial reporting while driving standardisation and continuous improvement at a global level.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & Reporting

• Coordinate and continuously improve the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close and reporting processes
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial results at company and group level
• Review and validate financial submissions from multiple plants, ensuring alignment with group standards
• Identify and proactively resolve reporting issues, variances, and inaccuracies

Standardisation & Process Improvement

• Drive the standardisation of reporting templates, KPIs, and financial processes across regions
• Implement best practices to streamline close cycles and improve transparency
• Partner with stakeholders to enhance reporting quality and efficiency

Stakeholder & Business Partnering

• Act as the key link between local plant finance teams and central/global finance
• Provide guidance and support to local finance teams on close and reporting requirements
• Collaborate with group finance, controlling, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller , ideally in a multi‑site or manufacturing environment
• Strong hands‑on experience with month‑end close and group reporting
• Solid knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP (group reporting experience is a strong plus)
• Experience driving process improvement and standardisation across regions
• Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a freelance / project‑based environment
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with both local and global stakeholders
• Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus)
