Havas Media is hiring a Medior Accountant

Havas Media Belgium is looking for a Medior Accountant to join its Accounting team and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability and continuity of our accounting operations.

In this role, you will be involved in accounting processes including AP/AR, operating expenses (OPEX) tracking and processing, payment preparation, reconciliations, monthly closings and statutory support, working closely with theAccouting/Finance team. You will also act as a key operational point of contact for several finance tools and workflows.

Your Role

As a Medior Accountant, you combine strong hands‑on accounting expertise with coordination, follow‑up and escalation responsibilities across multiple finance processes and systems. You contribute actively to the robustness, compliance and efficiency of Finance operations.

What will you be doing?

Accounting Operations & Invoice Management

• Manage the end‑to‑end supplier invoices workflow: reception, validation and approval (Adobe Sign).
• Ensure autonomous posting and follow‑up of OPEX invoices, guaranteeing correct VAT treatment and fiscal deductibility.
• Provide structured support to the Finance departement in the monitoring and follow‑up of OPEX.

Payments & Treasury Operations

• Prepare and execute supplier payment batches (media & OPEX), ensuring accuracy, completeness and respect of payment deadlines.
• Prepare payments in Isabel, ensuring all required controls, approvals and supporting documentation are in place prior to submission for signature.
• Proactively follow up and manage supplier payment reminders.

AP / AR & Reconciliations

• Perform and monitor AP/AR reconciliations (open items, debit/credit balances, clients and suppliers).
• Ensure accurate bank postings and financial documentation management (bank statements, CODA files, payment proofs, bank certificates).
• Manage and reconcile accounting flows between Cleartax, Agresso and Media Manager.
• Oversee and coordinate incoming and outgoing Peppol flows.

Support, Escalation & Tools SPOC

• Act as SPOC for Agresso, including issue resolution, incident follow‑up and ticket management.
• Act as SPOC for Media Manager (MM) and ClearTax, coordinating problem‑solving and escalations.

Closing, Compliance & Audits

• Actively contribute to and support monthly closing activities in close collaboration with the Finance team.
• Contribute to audit processes and annual accounts, ensuring data accuracy, completeness and timely availability of documentation.

Who are we looking for?

• Minimum 6 years of experience in accounting or finance operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
• Dutch is a strong plus.
• Solid knowledge of Belgian accounting and VAT regulations.
• Comfortable working with ERP systems, payment tools and reconciliation processes.
• Autonomous, structured, detail‑oriented and proactive.
• Strong team player with good communication and prioritization skills.
