Business Performance & Finance (BPF) Controller – Ghent

We’re looking for a Business Performance & Finance Controller to join an international finance team in Ghent. This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine analytics, business partnering, and process improvement in a fast-moving environment.

This isn’t a standard controlling job. You’ll:

  • Have real ownership over financial performance insights
  • Work closely with international teams and senior stakeholders
  • Drive improvements that directly impact efficiency and profitability
  • Be involved in both strategic analysis and hands-on execution

What you’ll be doing

  • Ensure accurate monthly and annual financial reporting
  • Partner with Shared Service Centers to improve processes
  • Lead quarterly SOX reporting and support audits
  • Build cash flow forecasts and business plans
  • Analyse performance and translate data into actionable insights
  • Lead projects around automation, cost optimisation, and digital tools

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years’ experience in finance (controller, accountant, or auditor)
  • Strong analytical mindset with a hands-on approach
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Confident with SAP, Excel, Power BI, and MS tools
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-driven personality
  • Knowledge of US GAAP / BE GAAP / SOX is a strong plus
