QA Test Engineer - Leuven, Belgium - Freelance

Initial 6 month freelance contract + possible extension

Leuven, Belgium (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

The assignment

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for portal and CRM applications
• Develop and execute automated test scripts and test strategy.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools- Jira/ADO
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Collaborate with other systems and teams to identify system impact and other team collaboration across other tools platforms (ex. SAP, Clarity etc.)
• Validate data integrity between portal and CRM systems
• Conduct API testing and backend validation where needed
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and QA reporting
• Continuously improve QA processes and testing methodologies

Required knowledge and skills

• 4+ years of experience in QA/testing for web applications and CRM systems
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA lifecycle
• Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce)
• Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira & Azure Devops)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and API testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Platform Administration.
• Proficiency in D365 solution management, security roles, and environment setup.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and message brokers such as Apache Kafka
• Solid understanding of database concepts, data flows, and system integrations.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, and Vue.js.
• Understanding of Azure services, Azure DevOps, or CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter)
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus
• Experience leveraging AI to automate test cases
