Enterprise Architect
to join an EU Institution in Brussels (50% onsite).
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and administer applications in production and non-production environments
Monitor applications, optimize performance, and ensure continuous service improvement
Handle support and maintenance activities (incident, change, release, problem management)
Create and maintain technical documentation (procedures, troubleshooting guides, backup & restore plans)
Automate recurring administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency
Contribute to the ICT Operations knowledge base
Report on application availability, performance, and capacity
Requirements
Experience
12+ years in architecture and design of information systems
12+ years in Java (J2SE & J2EE) with strong design pattern knowledge
10+ years with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
8+ years in secure web application development
6+ years in IT infrastructure environments (deployment, support, maintenance)
5+ years in application administration, UML, modeling tools (ArchiMate, Sparx EA), and object-oriented design patterns (incl. AOP)
5+ years in web services development (REST & SOAP)
4+ years in data analysis and data modeling
2+ years with microservices & container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher)
2+ years with Elasticsearch (administration & clusters)
Exposure to BPMN, enterprise architecture xqknzec frameworks (TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman), and AI
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in Elasticsearch and enterprise application environments (Linux/Microsoft)
Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chocolatey)
Scripting skills (Shell and/or PowerShell)
Good knowledge of ITIL processes
Nice to Have
Cloud experience (Azure or AWS), DevOps practices
Knowledge of MS SQL/PostgreSQL, Kong API Gateway, relevant certifications
