Automation Technician

Automation Technician – (Freelance positions) 12 month contract

Location: North Wallonia

Role Summary

You will maintain and troubleshoot the brewery's automated systems while also performing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic maintenance. Your work ensures reliable production across brewhouse, cellars, utilities, and packaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC/SCADA systems (Siemens preferred).
• Diagnose issues with sensors, actuators, VFDs, and automated valve systems.
• Perform pneumatic maintenance on valves, cylinders, manifolds, and air systems.
• Carry out mechanical repairs on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and packaging equipment.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting on motors, panels, wiring, and control circuits.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and support production teams.
• Execute preventive maintenance and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with brewery and EU standards.

Requirements

• Technical diploma/degree in Electromechanics, Automation, or Industrial Maintenance.
• Experience with automation, pneumatics, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
• Experience in food & beverage or process industries is an advantage.
• Willingness to work shifts or on‐call.
• Hands on PLC Experience
