Senior Application Support Engineer

ASE/ Support/24/7/ ADA/C++

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join one of our clients in the air traffic control domain, within a 24/7 production support environment. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in such settings and demonstrates a strong commitment to stability and long-term engagement despite operational constraints.

With a background as a developer (ADA or C#), the candidate combines solid technical expertise in UNIX/SQL environments with advanced skills in Shell scripting (non-Windows). A strong understanding of complex configuration management is essential to succeed in this role.

Tasks:

• Develop and maintain software solutions and automation tools (deployment, monitoring, configuration)
• Design and implement fully automated systems (FTPS, monitoring, configuration)
• Manage and exploit a centralized configuration database
• Automate the generation of monitoring views and configuration files
• Ensure data consistency, validation, and reliability through scripting
• Apply strong algorithmic and programming skills to optimize systems and processes

Profile:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in support of large-scale production environments
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong background in development (ADA, C, C++) with solid algorithmic skills
• Solid experience with UNIX/Linux and Shell scripting
• Good knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, DB2…)
• Experience in configuration management within structured environments
• Experience in deployment, support, and maintenance of critical applications
• Knowledge of Cloud environments (Azure)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios, OpenView, etc.) is a plus
