Sales Support Officer


OrienBites is looking for a Sales Support Officer to turn inbound interest into concrete commercial opportunities. You are the first point of contact for leads generated via trade fairs, the website, social media and other channels. You follow up actively (mainly by phone), convert leads into sales opportunities, close deals where possible, and nurture prospects by keeping them warm or reconnecting them with relevant wholesalers.

Your responsibilities

  • Follow up inbound leads from trade fairs, website enquiries, social media and other channels
  • Conduct proactive follow-up mainly by telephone, with professional and persuasive communication
  • Qualify and engage contacts such as caterers, restaurateurs, hotels and wholesalers
  • Close sales deals where appropriate or keep prospects warm for future conversion
  • (Re)connect interested prospects with relevant wholesalers and/or sales managers
  • Maintain accurate lead tracking and reporting
  • Act as liaison between Sales Support Coordinators in Brussels, Sales Managers in Benelux and France, and Social Media and Marketing teams in South-East Asia
  • Provide structured feedback to sales and marketing on lead quality and market response

What you bring

  • Fluency in English, French and Dutch (spoken and written)
  • Minimum 5–6 years’ experience in a commercial, sales support or customer-facing environment
  • Strong telephone communication and follow-up skills
  • A customer-oriented, results-driven and well organised approach
  • Confidence working with CRM systems and digital tools
  • A proactive, autonomous and collaborative mindset
  • Interest in digital and other marketing activities, and a willingness to coordinate closely with marketing and sales colleagues
  • Affinity with food, hospitality or FMCG is a strong asset
