Freelance Business Controller - Liege Company Overview Our client is an established manufacturing company based in Liège, operating in a dynamic industrial environment. The organisation is focused on performance, cost control, and data‑driven decision-making. To support ongoing financial steering and operational performance, they are looking for an experienced Freelance Business Controller. As a Freelance Business Controller, you will act as a key financial partner to operations and management. You will provide insight into financial performance, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and help drive profitability and cost optimisation across manufacturing activities. Act as a financial business partner to plant management and operational teams Analyse manufacturing costs, margins, and variances (materials, labour, overheads) Deliver monthly management reporting and financial performance analysis Support CAPEX analysis, investment cases, and ROI tracking Ensure financial data accuracy and consistency Support closing activities in collaboration with accounting teams Prepare ad‑hoc financial analyses and presentations for management Proven experience as a Business Controller in a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong understanding of cost controlling, standard costing, and variance analysis Solid experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling Ability to translate financial data into clear business insights Excellent analytical and Excel skills; Fluent in English; French is required due to local stakeholders Previous freelance or consulting experience Knowledge of Belgian manufacturing operations Experience working in an international or matrix environment
