Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Freelance Transport Planner to support day-to-day transport operations within a fast-paced logistics environment. This is an operational role focused on full truckload (FTL) planning and dispatch coordination, working closely with both internal drivers and external subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate full truckload (FTL) transport operations
• Manage daily dispatch activities using a Transport Management System (TMS), including Transfix or similar platforms
• Act as the main point of contact for drivers, ensuring clear communication and efficient execution of transport plans
• Coordinate a fleet of internal and external/subcontracted drivers
• Monitor transport execution and resolve operational issues in real time
• Ensure optimal route planning, load efficiency, and on-time delivery performance
• Collaborate closely with the transport team lead and wider transport team

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in transport planning, dispatch, or a similar logistics role
• Hands-on experience with a Transport Management System (TMS)
• Strong operational mindset with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent communication and coordination skills

Language Skills

• Dutch (required) – primary language used in the office
• French (required) – needed for communication with drivers
• English (required) – working proficiency
• (Minimum of two languages required; trilingual preferred)

Work Environment

• Fully on-site role (5 days/week) in West Flanders
• Highly operational, team-oriented environment
• Immediate start
