Safety Coordinator

For one of our clients in the energy and infrastructure sector, we are looking for a Safety Coordinator – Temporary or Mobile Construction Sites (Level A or B), responsible for integrating safety, health, and environmental requirements throughout the design and execution phases of construction projects, in compliance with Belgian legislation.

Your Responsibilities

Safety Coordination – Design Phase

Apply general prevention principles during the design phase

Develop and update the SHE Plan

Identify critical phases of the project

Manage the coordination logbook and the HSF (Health and Safety File)

Advise on safety requirements for tender documents

Safety Coordination – Execution Phase

Coordinate the implementation of the SHE plan on site

Ensure compliance with safety rules by all stakeholders

Organize coordination activities and safety meetings

Control site access and manage non-conformities

Update documentation and ensure reporting

Advisory and Support Role

Advise project teams on Belgian regulations

Participate in inspections, meetings, and audits

Review procedures, risk analyses, and work methods

Support safety teams and contribute to lessons learned

Your Profile

Certified Safety Coordinator Level A or B (Royal Decree 25/01/2001)

5+ years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects

Civil or Industrial Engineer degree preferred

Good knowledge of Belgian safety legislation

French required, Dutch is an asset, professional English

Autonomous, rigorous, field-oriented, and strong communication skills
