Manufacturing Equipment & Commissioning Project Manager

Role Summary

At Pixie, we are looking for a Manufacturing Equipment & Commissioning Project Manager to support the setup of production equipment within a high-precision manufacturing environment.

This role focuses on managing the full lifecycle of industrial equipment, from technical specification and procurement through Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), installation, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and final qualification.

Success in this position means ensuring that all equipment is delivered, installed, tested, and fully operational on time, meeting technical, safety, and performance requirements. The role is critical in enabling production readiness and ensuring smooth integration between equipment, facilities, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end equipment lifecycle: specification, procurement support, FAT, delivery, installation, SAT, and qualification
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers, integrators, and internal stakeholders
• Act as the main technical interface with equipment suppliers
• Prepare and lead FAT and SAT campaigns, including test protocols and acceptance criteria
• Supervise machine testing (performance, accuracy, safety, capability)
• Manage punch lists and ensure resolution before acceptance
• Coordinate on-site installation (positioning, utilities connection, setup)
• Oversee qualification processes (IQ, OQ, PQ) where applicable
• Establish and maintain a structured document management system for all equipment documentation
• Ensure full documentation handover (manuals, certificates, reports, etc.)
• Build and manage detailed project schedules for equipment delivery and commissioning
• Identify risks and manage dependencies across suppliers, facilities, and production timelines

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in industrial equipment management, manufacturing engineering, or plant commissioning
• Proven experience managing FAT and SAT processes for complex industrial equipment (e.g., CNC machinery)
• Strong experience working with OEM suppliers and multi-stakeholder environments
• Experience in greenfield or brownfield industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and commissioning processes
• Understanding of machine capability validation (Cp/Cpk, geometric verification, testing methods)
• Familiarity with industrial utilities (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, coolant systems)
• Knowledge of safety and compliance standards for industrial equipment (e.g., CE marking)
• Experience with project planning tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical, electrical, fluid systems)
• Strong documentation and process structuring capabilities
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus
• Strong stakeholder management, organization, and problem-solving skills
