Dev Engineer

NEXEO is looking for – Senior Fullstack Developer / DEV Engineer (Expert)

NEXEO is currently looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer / DEV Engineer for a mission based in Brussels, with a hybrid working setup (50% on-site / 50% remote).

We are seeking an experienced consultant to join an Agile squad responsible for delivering and maintaining a key application used by branch employees in a banking environment.

Mission Overview

As a DEV Engineer, you will be a key contributor within an Agile team, involved in the full development lifecycle: analysis, design, development, testing, and integration.

You will also play a leadership role, mentoring junior developers, challenging architectural decisions, and contributing to continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fullstack applications in an Agile environment
• Co-lead the squad and mentor junior team members
• Collaborate closely with architects and challenge technical decisions
• Ensure high code quality and apply best development practices
• Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities
• Contribute to sprint delivery by actively participating in all Agile ceremonies
• Support integration, testing, and deployment activities
• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team

Technical Skills

Mandatory:

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, JUnit
• Frontend expertise in React JS, JavaScript / TypeScript, Vite, Jest
• Knowledge of Gherkin scenarios, Ruby
• Strong understanding of software architecture (OS, networking, databases, middleware)
• Experience with development standards, security practices, and tools

Nice to have:

• Experience with Web Content Management (WCM)
• Experience with system integrations (distributed systems, mainframe, infrastructure components)

Profile Required

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer / Software Engineer
• Strong experience in Agile environments (Scrum)
• Ability to work across the full development lifecycle
• Experience in complex and enterprise-level environments (banking is a plus)
