The European Schools are an intergovernmental organisation offering multilingual and multicultural education.
Functieomschrijving The locally recruited teachers are hired under the employee status to teach in the primary cycle.
Profiel · Native speaker or thorough knowledge of the teaching language (German : certified C2 level)
· Recognized qualifications and/or university degree (validated by the national authorities) which qualify to teach in the primary school · Knowledge of at least one second working language of the school (French/English)
· European citizen or person having a valid working permit in Belgium · Ability to teach mixed classes using effective differentiation
· Strong motivation in teaching in a multicultural and multilingual environment
· Ability to work and to cooperate with colleagues, management and families
Aanbod We are offering contracts in accordance with the Service regulations for the locally recruited teachers in the European schools (Ref.: 2016-05-D-11-en-19) available on the EE website: -
- Starting day : 1 September 2026 Availability : We offer a fixed-term contract for two years (approximately 25.5 hours per week), from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2028. An extension of the contract is possible under certain conditions. -
- Gross salary: Primary school teachers (locally recruited teachers) receive a gross annual salary of €60.918 (based on 25.5 hours per week). Further information can be found in Article 35 and Annex 1 of the Service Regulations for Locally Recruited Teachers.
